Just another day in the real world...

So, today I discovered that my well meaning (but ill-practiced) thirteen year old son, left a load of his dirty socks in the washer.  I thought I would do him a favor and transfer them to the dryer...when the buzzer went off, I opened the dryer and was nearly knocked over by a smell that packed a powerful punch!  So, I transfer them back into the washer along with extra helpings of bleach and detergent!!!

Later in the day while out running errands, I saw a guy in the bike lane cross country skiing in the middle of July!  YES SKIING.  He had his ski poles propellling him along the road with each foot upon a small ski that was attached to a small skateboard.  I thought it was very creative, and did I mentioned this guy looked to be in his fifties!  

A bit later I noticed a young college aged fellow walking down the sidewalk pulling along his rather large duffel bag upon a large skateboard.

So, there it is, now it's almost evening and I can't wait to discover what the rest of the day has in store...
